No Kings Day” protests are planned in New York City and across the country this weekend in opposition to what some are characterizing as increasingly authoritarian practices by President Donald Trump.

David Cox, 54, from Newark Valley, was arrested in Brooklyn after allegedly threatening to attack ICE agents with firebombs on the same day as nationwide protests.

During a march past Union Station, the man and No Kings protesters got into a dispute after he shouted a homophobic slur.

The "No Kings" organizing group said rallies are expected in hundreds of locations across the country on Saturday in cooperation with civil rights groups and other organizations. The movement said it mobilized millions of people at its protests in June. Here is the latest map from their website showing where rallies are planned:

“No Kings” rallies unfolded across the United States on Saturday and reporters and photographers from the parent company of The Oregonian/OregonLive documented dozens of them, from Portland to Boston. The largest of Portland rallies gathered at Tom McCall Waterfront Park and drew 40,000 people, police said.
