As North Texas faces another round of winter weather in 2026, residents are reminded of the deadly 2021 deep freeze and the series of powerful winter storms over the past 16 years.
Sunday morning, outages in North Texas were mainly centered around southern Fort Worth, according to the Oncor outage map. Around 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, in the 76028 ZIP code near Burleson, over 250 people were without power.
Temperatures are not expected to go above freezing until at least midday Tuesday. But is this weekend one of the coldest ever in Fort Worth?
Investigators say an 18‑year‑old driver lost control on icy roads before being arrested on a DWI charge early Saturday.
