The heat is off for Irish rap trio Kneecap after police dropped their criminal investigation into the group’s controversial Glastonbury performance. Kneecap played the biggest set of their career thus far at Glastonbury Festival in June,

Officers assessed video evidence of the Kneecap performance, during which the west Belfast and Derry trio criticised Israel over its conflict in Gaza, and referred to an upcoming court appearance by member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, AKA Mo Chara.

Police who were investigating Kneecap's performance at Glastonbury will not take any further action. Last month, a criminal investigation was launched by Avon and Somerset Police into performances by the Irish language rap trio at the music festival.
