It would seem the stakes surrounding the Vancouver Canucks trade talk have officially been lowered. This time last week, we were still discussing JT Miller (and Elias Pettersson) rumours.

According to a report from Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Canucks have made defenseman Carson Soucy available on the trade market. The 30 year old Soucy is in year 2 of a 3 year deal that pays him $3.25 million per season.

Carson Soucy's struggles this season have him on the trading block for the Vancouver Canucks but will also make him hard to trade.
