Now, a player in pinstripes will be allowed the latitude to grow something similar, ginger or no ginger. Likely it will begin with new Yankees closer Devin Williams, who reported for his spring training physical with the beard he’d worn for six years with the Milwaukee Brewers. He shaved it within 24 hours.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. could be thinking about a future in the Bronx. The Toronto Blue Jays star liked an edited Instagram photo of himself in a New York Yankees uniform on Thursday. Guerrero told reporters on Tuesday that he and the Blue Jays did not reach an agreement on an extension before his self-imposed spring training deadline.
