Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles confirmed the team will activate Godwin and starting right tackle Tristan Wirfs off the Physically Unable to Perform list. That means Godwin will be on the 53-man roster to open the 2025 campaign, rather than missing a minimum of four games had he stayed on the PUP list.

Emeka Egbuka has been turning heads this training camp and preseason, and the Bucs get ready for Week 1 in the coming weeks. The team is likely to use him right away, while Chris Godwin Jr. is nursing his ankle back from the injury he suffered in 2024, and now Jalen McMillan is placed on injured reserve.
