The U.K.'s antitrust authority, the CMA, has greenlighted IBM's planned multibillion acquisition of HashiCorp.

The U.K.’s antitrust regulator has approved IBM Corp.’s proposed acquisition of HashiCorp Inc. for $6.4 billion.

HashiCorp (NASDAQ:HCP) edged higher by 1.1% in premarket trading after the UK's antitrust regulator approved its planned $6.4 billion sale to IBM (IBM). The UK's Competition and Markets Authority approved the deal on Tuesday,

DataStax’s AstraDB will enhance the existing vector capabilities of IBM watsonx.data, while Langflow will add flexible middleware capabilities to watsonx.ai, IBM said.

Last year, DataStax debuted a new enterprise-grade AI development platform that integrates Nvidia Corp.’s AI Enterprise software suite. It’s called the DataStax AI Platform, Built with Nvidia, and the company claims it’s one of the most comprehensive platforms for enterprise AI software development in the business.

IBM is buying DataStax and will add its cloud database development platform and RAG development tools to the Watsonx AI portfolio.
