Forgive the poor pun and reference, but it sure smells like The Rock might make his way back to WWE programming soon.

WWE's next premium live event will air in less than two weeks on Netflix and Peacock. That major event is SummerSlam, which has been around since the 1980s.

Earlier this year, The Rock appeared to be positioned as Cody Rhodes' chief antagonist. But on March 1 at the Elimination Chamber premium live event, he helped facilitate John Cena's shocking heel turn, setting the stage for what looked like a multi-man storyline heading into WrestleMania 41.
