DMC5 feels like it put all its chips into being the most technical combo action game known to man yet very rarely does enough to construct memorable combat encounters within the context of the main campaign.

What can be more effective how ever is making your opponent think you're going to approach. Short hopping/fast falling is a great way to bait out an option from an aerial opponent.

Feb 6, 2016 · Bayonetta can WTime out of the string before the first WTwist, and Palutena's slow fall speed allows her to DI out of the string before and after the reverse ABK connects. I was however able to KO Mario from the middle platforms on Battlefield.

Of course, Bayonetta 2 itself was polarizing: There have been endless arguments about the merits between Bayo 1 and Bayo 2; Bayo 2 is the prettier game, it has less obnoxious mini-games, a better UI, and basically fixes almost all of the bizarre idosynacries of the the first game.

Apr 4, 2023 · I think the opposite, Bayonetta 3 has been the most exciting game I played in a while. Usually in today games you have seen everything in like 3 hrs and then you do the same things over and over for 30 hrs, but Bayonetta 3 was a continuous surprise to me, also there was so much demons/weapons to get bored.

Aug 4, 2022 · Bayonetta definitely has its rough patches, but I do think it's one of the easier stylish action games from the time it was made given how powerful witch time is for your first playthrough (though that really just means it's noticeably easier than DMC3 and the Ninja Gaidens).
