UPDATE | Covington (Ga.) Police Department confirm Lt. Chris Cain is in stable condition and his injuries are not considered serious. Police also confirmed the suspects are tied to the theft of a zero-turn lawnmower from a local Ace Hardware store. Police spotted the same U-Haul used in that theft at the Home Depot on Highway 142 this afternoon. The suspects refused to stop once a traffic stop was initiated on the U-Haul. The pursuit ended during a PIT maneuver on I-20 westbound near Almon Road.
