Bud Abbott and Lou Costello set the bar high for comedy and their influence remains across film and television today. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, an avid Abbott and Costello fan, talked about their influence on his work in his 1994 NBC special "Abbott and Costello Meet Jerry Seinfeld." His show, SEINFELD created with Larry David also has numerous references to the famous duo--for instance, George Costanza's middle name is "Louis", after Costello, and one of Kramer's friends is named Mickey Abbott.
