🏀On March 7, 1981 the 22nd SEC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship Game was held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama. The Ole Miss Rebels won their first SEC tournament title by defeating the Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 66–62 in the championship game.
