After Jon Snow is betrayed and stabbed by members of the Night’s Watch in Season 5, he is discovered dead in the courtyard at Castle Black.Later, Lord Commander Ser Alliser Thorne and other mutineers openly declare that Jon Snow is dead, confirming it to the Night’s Watch brothers who did not take part in the betrayal. His body is even shown to reinforce the claim.However, this “death” is not the end of his story, Jon is later revived by Melisandre in Season 6, returning to lead the North.
