When it gets colder, I start layering 🥰 wool skirts, stockings, warm underskirts. It’s cozy, practical, and somehow makes the cold feel gentler. Fun fact: in the Belle Époque, women used to wear “chauffe-pieds” 😃 little portable foot warmers filled with hot coals — during carriage rides or evenings at the theatre. Some even had tiny fur-lined muffs with hidden pockets for them. 🔥 I might not have a coal heater hidden in my muff, but wool and good layers still do the trick. ☕️❄️ #edwardian #vi
