⛈️ 3:30 PM Radar Update – WIDE VIEW We’re seeing two very different storm modes across the region: 🔹 Along and South of I-70 (including Colorado, northern New Mexico, and western Kansas): Stronger, more discrete supercells continue to fire off. These storms are producing large hail, and frequent lightning. These are the ones you really don’t want to mess with. 🔹 North of I-70 (including SW Nebrasky Pandyhandle): It’s more of a steady stratiform rain setup here—still moderate to heavy at times—

🚨 Radar Check-In: A couple of rogue showers and stormy-storms are firing off in far southern Colorado and northern New Mexico—right on cue with this morning’s forecast. ⛈️💅 📡 The rest of what you’re seeing on radar? Ground clutter. Translation: it’s not raining, your radar’s just being dramatic. 🤣 🙃 Most of you aren’t seeing jack diddly squat, and that’s how it’s probably gonna stay. Be safe. Don’t be a dumb dumb. Check back in if things change. 🤘 Kthxbye | Denver & Front Range Weather

Sorry. Lemme try that again. Here is a future radar simulation reflecting what conditions may look like as far as rain/snow are concerned when this storm system moves back into the region from the north. The potential for more rain at lower elevations along I-25 and the eastern plains, as well as moderate/heavy wet snurfall for the foothills, continental divide, and southern mountains (San Juans, Sangre de Cristo, and Wets) late tonight, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Stay tuned k bye. | Denver

Put the radar on a loop back and forth over the last two hours. You can see the surface low in NE Colorado as precipitation blossoms and circulates around it counterclockwise. As the low deepens, it’s pulling the cold front south through Wyoming and Nebrasky. You can literally see it via radar reflectivity as it passes through places like Wheatland, Torrington, and Scottsbluff. Pressure down to 987mb at my house and the wind is picking up. Science is so cool 🤓🤓 K thanks bye | Denver & Front Ra

Getting questions regarding storms last night. Here’s the radar loop from last night ending just after 1am. It doesn’t look that impressive on radar, but these elevated thunderstorms caused gusty winds, sporadic power outages, and some perty guuud thunder & lightning. Inverted “V” profile soundings would suggest that most of these storms didn’t produce a whole lot of rain as a lot of it evaporated before it hit the ground which causes the gusty blowy winds. These kinds of storms are common in th

Put the radar on a loop to show you two things: 1. The center of low pressure. Can you tell where it’s at? Hint: it’s west of this city and it rhymes with Stand Function 🤣😜 2. Because air rotates around low pressure counterclockwise, everything is coming out of the south today. 🤓 K bye 👋🏼 | Denver & Front Range Weather

Warm front is clearly visible on radar over the Palmer Divide. Scattered thunderstorms have already formed in the mountains and Wyoming along the leading shortwave. We will continue to see scattered thunderstorms develop over the next couple of hours along and north of the Palmer Divide & I-70 corridor on the eastern plains. Southerly winds in SE Colorado will gust up to 50mph this afternoon contributing to critical fire weather conditions. | Denver & Front Range Weather

Current radar depicts widespread albeit light snow continuing across the urban corridor and plains. Expect this to continue into the afternoon, with lessening coverage. I-25 corridor will be dry by this evening. 1-2" additional snow expected for most, except the northeast plains where 3-6" of additional snow is expected. An interactive map of snow reports can be viewed here: https://www.weather.gov/source/crh/snowmap.html?sid=bou If you have a report to share, it's much appreciated. We do vet th

Here is a future radar simulation of possible conditions the rest of the day today, Sunday, and into Monday. This is the storm that won't go away. A final "F you" before it gets outta here for good. 😆 Numerous showers and thunderstorms circling around the center of low pressure. Snurfall accumulation should be confined to areas above 9,000 feet but can't rule it out as low as 7500 feet at times. Monday will have a few showers and storms around most numerous in the mountains, but a few could sur
