The population of England and Wales has grown by more than 700,000 in the year until June 2024 - that's the second biggest increase for 75 years.Figures from the Office for National Statistics show the increase was mainly due to 'net intentional migration' - which is the difference between the number of people moving to the country, and leaving.The ONS said it continued a long term trend seen since the turn of this century.#Migration #Population #England #Wales #Channel4News | Channel 4 News
